Who I work with

Medical interpreting and translation in Kurdish, Farsi and Dari

When health is at stake, every word matters. I interpret for clinicians and patients in Kurdish (Sorani), Farsi and Dari, accurately and impartially, and translate the records, letters and information that care depends on.

How I help

Appointments and assessments

GP and hospital appointments, specialist clinics and assessments, in person across London or by video.

Mental health and therapy

Calm, consistent interpreting in the first person, so the relationship stays between clinician and patient.

Home visits

Health visitors, midwives, community nurses and therapists visiting patients at home across London.

Medical records

Records, test results, discharge letters and vaccination histories from Iran, Afghanistan and the Kurdistan Region, translated precisely.

Patient information

Leaflets, letters and appointment information, written to be easy to read and to sound natural.

Reports for claims

Medical reports translated for insurers, employers and solicitors, and certified when needed.

Working together

  • Tell me the type of appointment and anything that helps me prepare, such as the specialty or the medicines involved.
  • I interpret everything that is said, and never add advice or opinions of my own.
  • Patients’ information stays confidential under the CIOL Code of Professional Conduct.
  • For short or urgent conversations, phone and video interpreting can be arranged quickly.

If you are a patient, NHS services should arrange an interpreter for you free of charge, so ask your GP surgery or hospital, and say whether you speak Sorani Kurdish, Farsi or Dari.

Questions

Can NHS teams and clinics book you directly?

Yes. NHS teams, GP practices, private clinics and therapists can book me directly for appointments, assessments and translation. Tell me how your organisation books and pays, and I will work with it.

Can I book you for my own appointment?

You can, but ask your GP surgery or hospital first: NHS services should provide an interpreter free of charge. If the appointment is private, or you would like the same interpreter each time, I am happy to help.

Can you translate my medical records?

Yes. Send clear photos of every page. For your own GP an accurate translation is often enough; insurers and official bodies usually ask for a certified translation.
