Common questions

How quickly can you deliver?

Short personal documents are usually quick to turn around, and urgent or same-day requests can often be accommodated. Tell me your deadline when you ask for a quote.

How do you price your work?

Certified translation starts from £30 per document, written translation from 9p per word, interpreting from £35 an hour in person (minimum three hours) or £30 by phone or video, and transcription from £4 per minute of recording. You always get a fixed quote first, and asylum seekers and registered charities get 20% off.

Which Kurdish do you work in?

Sorani (Central Kurdish), used across much of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, including Erbil and Sulaymaniyah, and in Kurdish areas of Iran such as Sanandaj and Mahabad. It is written in the Arabic-based Kurdish alphabet.

Do you work in Dari?

Yes. Dari, the Persian spoken in Afghanistan, is very close to Farsi, and I welcome translation and interpreting work in Dari. Just tell me your document or meeting is in Dari, so I can match the words and spelling your readers expect.
